Saving Seca Part Two Asia Foundation TV drama

Shooting Saving Seca Part One
4 April 2009

The second part of ‘Saving Seca', a high-end TV drama, has been commissioned from KMF by one of America’s largest NGO’s, the Asia Foundation.

Based on the story of Seca, trafficked into prostitution, 'Saving Seca' Part One (produced in March & April 2009) has become a major educational tool for Cambodian police and social workers.

The aim is behaviour change, encouraging officials to see girls sold into the sex trade as 'victims' and not 'participants'.

A specific example: police actions against brothels and massage parlours are now known as 'rescues', not 'raids'.

‘Saving Seca’ Part One is currently being shown in Outreach programmes across the country to hundreds of police officers and social workers.

‘Saving Seca’ Part Two (script by Anji Loman Field) will be aimed at educating court officials about legal proceedures in human trafficking cases. Pre-production starts in June 2010 and production in July.
